June 28th from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. & June 30th from 6-7 p.m.:
*Paper work turn in at Lincoln (Vista Magnet School). All physicals (must be on a 2008 Pop Warner form) and fourth quarter report card must be turned in. Please try to have ALL paper work turned in on the 28th, incase corrections need to be made. Any paperwork not submitted by June 30th, will result in participant being dropped from program.
July 12th:
*Meet the Coaches Day at Madison Middle School from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Your Coach will be contacting you soon.
August 2nd:
* Flag, Mitey Mite, Jr. PeeWee and PeeWee Camp day
*VPW Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at VFW Post 7041 from 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. (Team w/most participants wins a Pizza Party).
August 3rd:
* Jr. Midget and Midget Camp Day
August 4th:
*First day of practice for Mitey mite- Midget (Monday-Friday 5:30-7:30 p.m.)
August 5th:
*First Day of practice for Flag (Tues., Wed, Thurs.)
August 24th:
*Picture Day

Practices - Start Monday - Friday from 5:30-7:30pm on August 4th @ Lincoln Middle School. After Labor Day, practices will drop to 3 days/week,
same times (5:30-7:30). There are 10 games in a season. Flag squads
practice 3 days/week during the month of August 5:30-7:30, and drop
to 2 days/week after Labor Day, but the coach may alter the time if
it is too much for the girls. There are approximately 6-8 games in a
normal Flag season. The last game is usually before Halloween.
The cheer squads will travel to all games (except Home, away Bowl
Games, and Invitational). Games are on Saturdays, beginning with a
pre-season game during Labor Day weekend, and are played at home
(Lincoln) or at the home field of the opponent (you can see where we
do go (other cities in our league) on the VPW website:

Registration costs - The uniform (shell, skirt, liner, socks, briefs, hair streamer), camp gear, insurance, basic photo package, trophy,
cheer camp (held the first weekend in August, just after the season
begins), and the local cheer competition. Shoes will need to be
purchased separately later; they are usually ordered as a team -
you will get more information about this before the season begins.
We will also be contacting you for uniform fittings in early May.
Competitions - The Local Cheer Competition will be at the end of October and the top teams will move on to
Regional’s (at the end of November-around Thanksgiving weekend);
top teams at Regional’s will go to Florida during the first week of
December (usually).
One other thing that we do before the season begins is Meet the
Coaches Day. This is the day the girls will meet their coaches and
parents will get LOTS of helpful information! Look for this date &
location on the VPW Web Site Calendar.
